The atitude of Taiwanese people toward China has became more moderate, and this message is delivered by the result
of the election a few days ago.
On the other hand, China has been dedicated on its international image, including the baby step and the Olympics taking place.
It's easy to see the dramatical change among the world order and in domestic China. Nevertheless, if China will realize
the term "Chinese dream" coined by Zheng Bijian taken reference from the term "American dream", time will tell.
(Though "Chinese dream" is becoming true.)
I am concerned about every step that China is stepping forward.
From one hand, I want to foresee the way Taiwan will treat China in the future.
From the other hand, I want to see if China will shift from the communistic body to the democratic body.
If the model, so called the "Chinese model" comes true,
those developing countries, countries like Vietnam, Thailand or some
countries in Africa, would have lots of possibilities to imatate the
Chinese model.
They will possibly use totalitarianism or communism to direct their countries.
By doing so,
The democratic body we're following these days will face the chanllenge of totalitarianism or communism.
And China may become the rival, who represents totalitarianism and
communism, against the U.S.A, who represents democracy, after the Cold
War.
Besides, China may fight with its allies, those countries who join APEC,and "coopetite" with the EU.
These two groupes will not only competite with each other but cooperate with each other.
And the last but not least, the international position of the U.S. will not be redefined until the next President comes out.
At that time we can see if the President is economic oriented or like
President Bush W., giving too much focus to other countries' affairs.
灣人對中國的態度從極端排斥轉為較親近的的態度了
從此次的總統大選結果不難看出端倪
而中國大陸也致力於塑造優質的國際形象
從奧林匹克的舉辦到最近的一胎化政策廢除
中國的巨變不難看出來
至於中國的成功是否會像中共中央黨校原常務副校長鄭必堅所聲明的
把"美國夢"一詞轉變為"中國夢"
仍有待時間考驗
(雖然中國夢一詞的成真已在成形)
我最近很關心中國的一點一滴進步
一方面是為了觀察我們台灣人未來對中國該採取的態度
一方面則是觀察中國本土是否有可能性從共產政體轉為較民主的政權
如果中國的成功模型形成
以前我們所說的開發中國家就不無可能極力效法
像是以前被稱為第三世界的非洲國家與越南泰國一些東南亞國家
可能會參考使用共產主義來發展其國政經
這麼一來
我們一直奉行的民主體制就會受到考驗
而中國可能會成為繼冷戰時俄國之後
另一與美國抗衡的共產主義國家
只是
中國可能採區域抗衡(亞太經合組織)
與歐盟等國家進行經濟上的另一場競合之戰
也許兩大集團不再只是競爭
合作的意願也會很高
而美國的國際地位
要等下一任總統出爐
才能知道他是以經濟為導向
或是與小布希一樣
對伊拉克或其他國家"過度關心"了
